I hate the DMV

I think that the people who are hired to work at the DMV are K-Mart rejects. They are so rude and snotty that you just want to punch them out. But they have all the power cause you can't go without a License. I had another encounter with the Idaho DMV and it is just like all the other DMV's in this country. They are such nasty people and they not only love the sound of their own voices but they realize the power they have and really misuse it. I do have to say that the first girl who waited on me was a human being. She was nice and helpful and actually treated me with kindness. The next girl was so stiff I wondered how she sat on her chair without falling over. I think she majored in monotone as she really had no intonation in her voice. Anyway all the jokes and things said about the DMV are true and I am so glad I only have to go once in a while. Moving to Idaho made this one mandatory. Larry was so mad he turned around and went back and told them off. I did tell the girl that the very reason the DMV has such a bad reputation was just the way she treated me. I do like all the automation though. The lines were not long and everything went very fast. The test is all done my touch screen and I only had one error. Yah Woo. Now I just have to pay more to get my name changed to my married name. They wouldn't accept the Marriage license that we were given when we got married as it is just a souvenir, they said, but mind you it had a stamp with the Deputy Sheriff's written name and the date and all that you would need to show you were married but they still wouldn't accept it. So it will be another 35 dollars to get a certified one and then more money to get my name changed at the DMV.

Once when I was on my way out of Mexico there was a guy there trying to sell people things before they crossed into the US and he was yelling, "Come back, just let me rip you off one more time." That is how I feel everytime I have any business with the DMV. OK, now I feel better. I now have the REAL MARRIAGE LICENSE coming in the mail. I am worried that maybe Larry and I are not really married. Ha Ha.

I have been putting up cherries today. Hugh our neighbor gave us a lot and I got 9 quarts of cherries and enough juice to make several jars of Cherry Jelly, which I will do tomorrow. My feet were so tired I just couldn't do anymore today. Hugh is such a hoot. He was so funny about Larry marrying a mormon girl. He has had a lot to say about that. Once after we had come back from a trip to Utah he asked Larry if he had been to that Holy State. Since he has seen what a hard worker I am out in the yard he has softened a lot and loves my baking as I have sent bread, cornbread and other things for them. He is very nice to me now and tells me I can come over in his yard and work there when I am through in mine. He is a real character and I think the world of him.

Well, we will be going again next week to meet Natalie and Steve half way between Nebraska and here. We will camp and fish with them for a week. We are going to a Fiddler Fest on Wed. and a Harmonica Fest at Yellow Pine later in the month. Then all our friends here are having a birthday party for those of us who have birthdays in June on Saturday. Should be fun. We have played Sequence with all of them and we had so darn much fun. Larry has some wonderful friends and I am so glad to be a part of them. I am still looking forward to going to Corde Alene' in July or August with the boat and sleeping on the boat. I have always wanted to do that and so we will get it done this summer.

Life is so good. I am so happy and Larry and I are just dancing through our lives hand in hand and lovin' every minute of it. It is awesome to have so much Peace and Joy with your husband. I am so blessed to have this man in my life. He was one of the world's best kept secrets. AND HE IS MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
